Uncharacteristically for Apple, it is reducing the selling price of the latest iPhone XR by up to 22% from Friday to boost sales in the face of stiff competition in the premium smartphone segment in the India where it is in the third position as per latest data from market trackers, three senior industry executives said. Reductions in pricing for other iPhone models could follow soon. Additionally, the rumour indicates that the other two larger devices include screens that come in at 6.06-inches and 6.67-inches, while Apple's 2019 iPhone XS comes in at 5.8-inches and the iPhone XS Max features a 6.5-inch display.

New rumours indicate Apple could be working on an upgrade to one of its most beloved smartphones, the iPhone SE. It shares the same internals as its more expensive iPhone XS sibling and makes up for the design and display compromises by offering a longer battery life than them.

It's also uncertain whether Apple will officially decrease the iPhone XR's price on its Indian website.
