Nintendo Switch Online’s April NES Games Revealed

With the introduction of Nintendo Switch Online back in September, subscribers have access to a wide variety of classic NES titles to play directly on their own Switch consoles.

The poison mushroom of Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels is one of the gaming's greatest betrayals.

The Lost Levels first appeared in Japan on June 3, 1986, as Super Mario Bros. 2. Still, you can now play the original unadulterated Super Mario Bros.

This is an obvious point, of course - Nintendo will eventually move on to a new system, or run out of NES games to provide if the Switch miraculously stays around for decades - but it's an interesting note that isn't usually present in Switch Online advertisement. Mac works his way up a ladder of increasingly tough enemies culminating in a battle with the titleholder Mr. Dream.

Take your frustrations out on Glass Joe. Battle up through King Hippo and all the way to the WVBA Champion himself. In this shoot 'em up, players pilot a starship called Caesar that travels through space, fighting supercomputers called Starbrains. Go inside a floating space station inhabited by a giant computer known as Starbrain. If you're a Nintendo Switch player, you can score a brand new pair of Joy-Cons on a discount.
