A leaker with an accurate track record is now out with a new claim about Apple's product roadmap, saying the company will also unveil a third iPad version this year that would be an entirely new addition to the lineup.

Apple acquired the digital magazine app Texture past year, which enables you to read a huge number of publications for a single monthly fee, a bit like a music streaming service.

Apple will host a press event later this month, with its video streaming service expected to be the star of the show.

During a recent earnings call, Cook confirmed that Apple plans to produce its own shows in a move that could challenge streaming television giants Netflix and Amazon Prime, which have invested heavily in original content. The shows are expected to cover a variety of genres that include drama, documentary, comedy, kids program, etc. Apple has been closely working with former Sony Pictures executives Zack Van Amburg and Jamie Erlicht for the shows that are expected to be released during late 2019.

Apple has been snapping up talent all over the place to build its rival to Netflix and Hulu, including the likes of Reese Witherspoon, M Night Shyamalan, Oprah Winfrey and Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi. The company has partnered with several publications like The New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, etc.

The invite does not give any hint on any hardware that were expected to be released during the event.

We now officially have a date for Apple's March event, with March 25th the big day. But an iPad with a 10.5-inch screen would probably have a design similar to the 2017 iPad Pros.
