December 10: At a star-studded event, Meghan presented the designer of her wedding dress with a prize at the London Fashion Awards.

The couple joined Prince William and Kate, the Queen and other members of the Royal Family to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Commonwealth.

Meghan chose an all-green outfit for the gathering, including a coat with black beaded detailing on the cuffs and collar by Canadian designer Erdem. She paired the look with a couple of beloved wardrobe staples: black Aquazzura slingback heels and a matching Givenchy satin clutch. Mulroney's twin sons and young daughter were also in Markle and Prince Harry's royal wedding in May.

Meghan and Harry met with groups of young Canadians living in London, from a wide range of sectors including fashion, the arts, business and academia, about their experiences as expats as well as opportunities for young people working in the Commonwealth.

Both women and their husbands together with the extended royal family were out in force to celebrate Commonwealth Day, with a service at Westminister Abbey.

Meghan wore Erdem at an event at Canada House earlier in the day. Kate opted for her red Catherine Walker coat dress, which she wore in New Zealand in 2014.

News of the resignation comes after Harry and Meghan lost three palace aides within six months of the royal wedding in May a year ago.

Meghan Markle's assistant private secretary Amy Pickerill, has been working for the new royal since January past year, and is now believed to be moving on in the coming months.

The Duchess of Sussex participated in a panel discussion on Friday, held at King's College London and convened by The Queen's Commonwealth Trust, to discuss a range of issues affecting women today.
