Iman Shumpert posts heartfelt farewell to Kings after trade with Rockets

The Houston Rockets are getting some wing help, having acquired Iman Shumpert in a three-team trade with the Sacramento Kings and Cleveland Cavaliers, as first reported by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

James Harden extended his red-hot scoring streak as the Houston Rockets overwhelmed the Sacramento Kings on the road in the National Basketball Association on Wednesday, February 6 (Thursday, February 7, Manila time). He averaged just under 10 points per game with the Kings this season.

The Rockets will also send a second-round pick to the Pacers in the deal.

The Kings acquire guard Alec Burks and a second-round pick from the Cavaliers as part of the deal, as well.

The Rockets will send point and shooting guard Brandon Knight, power forward and center Marquese Chriss to the Cavaliers, according to Wojnarowski. "And somebody like that, I can play with any day of the week".

Rockets point guard Chris Paul said he was excited about adding Shumpert's defensive mentality to the team. Over his seven-year National Basketball Association career, he has played in 394 games (320 starts) with Detroit, Milwaukee, Phoenix and Houston, holding averages of 14.9 points, 3.3 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 30.6 minutes per game. "He is playing very, very well this season, so once he gets here, get a couple of practices in and let's go".

Barnes, 26, was on the court for the Mavericks as trade reports surfaced Wednesday night. "Even in the building, the energy was weird".
