Singer Mariah Carey sues personal assistant over "Embarrassing Video"

News, Carey's legal team claimed that Azarian said she "would sell the video for a profit and buy herself a home" if Carey fired her. Showing these supposed "embarrassing" tapes would violate the nondisclosure agreement Azarian signed when she started working for the 48-year-old singer.

Mariah says she fired Azarian in November 2017, and was paying her as much as $327,000 a year prior to that. Reuters was not immediately able to confirm those details.

Azarian's lawyer Mark Quigley said in a statement: 'These baseless allegations are an attempt to attack my client's character and deflect attention away from a workplace harassment and wrongful termination lawsuit she filed today against her former employer, Mariah Carey.

The 48-year-old singer paid the employee up to $327,000 a year until she was sacked, and claims the alleged blackmail started shortly afterwards.

She accuses Ms Bulochnikov of yelling racial insults at her, slapping her buttocks and breasts, holding her down and urinating on her, and allowing her to be urinated upon in the presence of others.

The suit says Azarian was secretly filming Mariah's "personal activities" which would be "embarrassing", and extremely damaging if revealed, according to TMZ. She's said to have used the "With You" singer's name to nab steep discounts by claiming the items she bought were for the famed vocalist.

The singer "reached a mutually agreed resolution of this matter" with Stella, The Blast reported quoting court documents.

Insiders claimed Stella was demanding over $100 million in the suit, on the grounds that this was her rightful cut of the money Mariah earned with her assistance.

'After working together for nearly three years, Mariah Carey and Stella Bulochnikov have determined that it is in their mutual best interest to part ways on day-to-day management, ' the statement maintained.

If it's not one fire Mariah Carey is working on putting out, it's another.

As seen in E!'s 'Mariah's World, ' Stella Bulochnikov served as the R&B diva's manager and best friend.
