Novak Djokovic RAGES with huge strop after shock defeat at Qatar Open

Novak Djokovic admits he "lost his focus" during his shock Qatar Open semi-final defeat to Roberto Bautista Agut.

Bautista-Agut is in some of the best form of his life, demonstrated by his stunning three set victory over Novak Djokovic last week in Doha.

"Long matches today, both singles and doubles, and I spent quite a bit of time on the court but I'm happy I managed to get two wins", said Djokovic. "He is really a tough opponent to beat and we knew each other very well", Bautista Agut said. With the quality of tennis displayed against Novak Djokovic, Roberto will be the favorite going into the finals. I know it's hard to play at this level.

The world number one bowed out at the fourth-round stage of the first major of the year 12 months ago after losing in round two in 2017.

The shock result breaks a run of five consecutive finals reached by Djokovic, who had also won 13 matches in a row in Doha.

The Serb won his last Australian Open in 2016, beating Britain's Andy Murray in straight sets.

"I wanted to give everything I had in the match and fight until the last point", Bautista Agut added.

The Spaniard ground out a hard-fought victory in three sets against the Czech Republic's Tomas Berdych, winning 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 in the final.

Djokovic needed a decider to overcome Marton Fucsovics on Wednesday after dropping the opener and he was broken twice early on in the first set as Basilashvili took charge.

As he had in the previous set, Djokovic broke Basilashvili in his first service game only for the world number 21 to muster an immediate response as he reeled off seven points in a row.

Bautista Agut awaits the victor of the match between, another player who has been making a comeback- Tomas Berdych and the Italian Marco Cecchinato.
