Analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to reveal that the Hindi version of sci-fi film minted INR202.5 million at the Indian box office since its release.

Superstar Rajinikanth's 2.0, the highly anticipated sequel to Shankar's Enthiran, is crushing box-office records as it has set the cash registers on fire with a whopping over Rs 150 crore worldwide in just two days. In 2.0, Chitti is reassembled by Dr Vaseegaran to fight an evil named PakshiRaja (Akshay Kumar), an ornithologist who has turned against human beings. This is not the first time when Amy shared a big screen with Akshay as they both have worked together in 2015 movie Singh Is Bliing.

Out of the ₹74 crore, the Hindi version of 2.0 contributed about ₹21 crore, while collections from Tamil Nadu stood at ₹20 crore. Thursday 20.25 cr, Friday 18 cr.

The latest development provides that 2.0 crossed the INR1 billion mark worldwide on its first day. Being a Saturday, the movie is expected to have done an incredible business with higher collections. The film had seen good hype building for it during last fortnight or so and that reflected in steady footfalls on the first day of release. The movie is made under the huge budget of Rs 543 and is considered as the most expensive Indian film. In a box office prediction report, film exhibitor Akshaye Rathi had said about the film's opening, "The film is releasing in several languages".
