Less than a day beforehand, Facebook's Messenger app crashed for hundreds of thousands of people around the world late on Monday evening.

The error message that many Facebook users are reporting to have seen.

Outage monitor Down Detector is still registering hundreds of reports from users claiming they are unable to access the social media site as normal.

"The issue has since been resolved, we are back to 100% for everyone, and we're sorry for any inconvenience".

It appears that the problems is affecting a large part of the United States, the United Kingdom as well as some parts of europe and Asia.
