Broncos QB Chad Kelly arrested for trespassing

A backup quarterback for the Broncos was arrested Tuesday morning for allegedly walking into a unusual house, frightening the people inside. Kelly allegedly "mumbled incoherently".

The woman called for a second resident, a man, who confronted Kelly and hit him with an aluminum vacuum tube with plastic ends in the upper back as he kicked Kelly out of the house. The homeowner claims both doors were locked, but police found no signs of forced entry.

According to KUSA, Kelly was not tested for drugs or alcohol on the scene, "The entry on booking records suggesting he had no alcohol in his system is a default entry". The man, identified as Kelly, was then placed under arrest.

What in the world happened to Kelly that would lead him from the party to some random family's home back to his SUV at the party?

Retired Broncos quarterback and current general manager John Elway addressed the incident with Denver's 760 AM: 'We're obviously very, very disappointed in Chad and the situation that he's put himself into'.

The Broncos chose Kelly as the 253 pick in the 7th round of the 2017 draft.

Kelly's spectacular college career at Ole Miss was marked by off-field slip-ups, although he hadn't been in any trouble since the Broncos drafted him. "Our organization has been in contact with Chad, and we are in the process of gathering more information", the release said.

Englewood Police say Chad Kelly, police say walked in and sat next to the mother of a 2-year-old boy belonging to Marco Torrez.

According to a police report, Kelly allegedly said, "I'm going to go to my auto and get my AK-47 and spray this place". "The charges are very, very serious, and we understand that", Elway said.

The party at the Gothic Theater was still going strong when a security guard believes he may have seen Chad Kelly leave the building.

This also means the Broncos can't give Kelly a chance later this season to prove that his preseason play was no fluke and perhaps be the young QB this team has been looking for for so long.
