Nana Patekar Dismisses Tanushree Dutta's Allegations, Asks 'What Sexual Harassment?'

After people coming out with their stories using #MeeToo campaign, another Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta has revealed that she was also abused in the past.

Nana Patekar talked to Mirror Now a few minutes back and denied all the allegations Tanushree has made.

Tanushree had alleged that Nana Patekar had touched her inappropriately and set goons upon her during a 2008 shoot.

"I want to take names - actor Nana Patekar, producer Sami Siddiqui, director Rakesh Sarang, and choreographer Ganesh Acharya". Just because she was young and new to the profession back then, Nana had demanded an erotic scene of his to be shot with her that was not initially in the script.

"Everyone has gossiped about this but they've never spoken". That he beats and assaults them is known to all but because of his PR nobody raises voice against him and everything is washed away in stream of gossips.

She went on to say that in a bid to pressurise her in succumbing to his advances, Nana Patekar used his political clout and sent goons to torment her. She further calls acts of nobilities done by actors as a veil to hide their demon side. Now, she's saying #MeToo in the hope of shedding light on what the film industry brushes under the carpet. She further told Zoom that when she walked out of the shoot and got inside her vanity van, Nana even sent goons to attack her and her vehicle in which she seated later as she left the shooting-place with her family. They (film crew) were forcing me to do an intimate step. "People have been arrogantly carrying forward this narrative", she said. She even maintained in reports that she had rehearsed for it solo. She says that Tanushree began shooting but again walked out as Nana entered the sets. I was told the producers had called them to set.

She had also alleged that the "MNS goons" once attacked her vehicle with her parents inside it.

She reportedly said, "Everyone knows about Nana Patekar. All he said was, "Meri beti jaisi hai" (she is like my daughter), which didn't really make any sense at that point", the journalist wrote. Janice tweeted what Tanushree had told her at that time, and said that it matched the sequence of events she described in the interview to Zoom TV. She says, "It was courageous of me to face the situation without shedding a tear, but I really hope that no other actress has to experience it". We shall patiently wait for Nana to say his part.
