Apple's Next Big iPhone Event Is Slated For September

Apple has sent out invitations for its annual September iPhone launch event, confirming the hotly-tipped date as Wednesday 12th September.

Apple is preparing to release three new smartphones this year, including the largest iPhone ever, a device that may have a bigger display than arch-rival Samsung's flagship phone, Bloomberg reported in February. Meanwhile, take a look at Apple's recently leaked iPhone XS and Apple Watch series below. The iPhone XS variants will start shipping in late September, as per the 9to5Mac report. Probably with the same device in more colors, but we'll find out for sure on September 12, according to an invite reporters received Thursday morning.

A new watch face is also coming this time around and will display more information than previous faces.

It also published a photo of what it says is the new Apple Watch.

9to5Mac was able to get its hands on a promotional image for the Apple Watch Series 4, which apparently leaked out after Apple's announcement of its incoming event.

Apple also plans an upgrade to the current iPhone X with a 5.8-inch OLED screen, which is internally dubbed D32, the people said.

"First up we have an image of what has been called the 'iPhone XS". Until now, rumours claimed that one of the iPhones will be the successor to the last year's iPhone X. This will be the iPhone XS.

It's the most important day of the year for Apple, because the iPhone accounts for about two-thirds of its revenue. The iPhone X was launched for $1000, but the successor to it, aka the iPhone XS, is expected to come with a price of around $800, which is nearly $200 less. Not only that, the new accessory is said to come with updated features and it will also differ a lot from the last generation of Apple Watch. Apple is expected to launch three new iPhones this year.

The new line will include a cheaper iPhone aimed at more budget-conscious customers, according to the report.
