Taking a cue from the phone carriers, the service which is available now brings together Xbox Live, Game Pass, and a console under one subscription plan on a two-year contract.

UPDATE (08/27/2018 1:15 p.m. ET): Major Nelson has posted on his blog confirming the details below with regards to Xbox All Access. Anybody interested in signing up for Xbox All Access? It also clarifies that the financing plan is powered by Dell Preferred Account (DPA). It also offers consumers Xbox One hardware at a discounted monthly fee. That is a total of about $860, whereas if you sign up and do the Xbox All Access Program, it would run at about $840- which is a little bit cheaper. Additionally, a year of Xbox Live Gold will set you back $60 - so $120 for two years - while Xbox Game Pass costs $10 a month, or $240 over two years.

While we don't know the specific of the device, the screen and its visuals were reportedly "good" but unable to match the likes of the Rift and HTC Vive, which makes it sound similar to the PSVR-not exactly the "high-fidelity VR" the Xbox One X promised. For those who don't have the full money to pay it off or a credit card, Xbox All Access Program is pretty much the alternative.

Microsoft says that the offer is for a limited period and only "qualified customers" can avail it. Nevertheless, it's a cost-effective way to get on board with a console generation that will probably last for another, hmm, two years.

If you want an Xbox One S, then Microsoft will charge $22 per month for 24 months. Microsoft's monthly payment scheme through Xbox All Access offers the same console and subscriptions for $130 less over the span of two years.

"We don't have a goal of being the subscription where you get all your content". There's little doubt the up-front cost of consoles is high, especially when you look at the Xbox One X which still goes for the $500 that it was launched at nearly a year ago.

"When we launched it, we thought an ever-increasing number of titles might be something that was really important to gamers", Decker said.
