Chelsea coach Maurizio Sarri has hinted that it might take the Blues two months to get the drift of his footballing philosophy popularly known as "Sarri Ball", a system of football similar to the Spanish "tiki-taka".

Maurizio Sarri did not give away any transfer speculation about Gary Cahill during the pre-match conference, instead iterating that the English veteran needs more days in training in order to be fit enough to be considered for selection.

It will also see Sarri face off with his Napoli predecessor, Rafa Benitez, who was interim Chelsea manager, where he won the Europa League in the 2012/13 season.

The Blues beat Arsenal at Stamford Bridge last weekend in a topsy-turvy game, which followed their victory against Huddersfield Town in their opening fixture of the season.

"In this moment for a defender it's more hard to play in my team after only 20 days of training".

Further forward, we are anticipating a first start of the season for Eden Hazard after a couple of cameo roles from the bench.

Sarri warned that he generally experiences defensive difficulties when he first arrives at a new club, but is adamant that Chelsea's players are perfectly capable of putting his ideas into action with time.

"I think we are in the beginning, we already head everything but you have to learn in your head and pass this to your body and synchronise". If you are 28 and, for 10 years, you've played the other way, it's not so easy.

"I can not say why it did not go through". I think I am the coach of a very good team, a very great club, so I think it's so important for him to not be sold without the possibility to buy another important player of the same level, so I think Eden will stay with us for all the season.

In the 2017-18 campaign, his team finished second to Juventus with 91 points, the most any team had amassed without winning a Serie A title. "Then, if I enjoy the game, maybe the supporters enjoy the game".
