Suspect Arrested for Murder of Rapper XXXTentacion

A Florida man with a criminal history has been arrested over the shooting death of rapper XXXTentacion, with more suspects being sought, authorities said Thursday.

The rapper had left Riva Motorsports in Deerfield Beach, Florida.

A 22-year-old suspect has been arrested and charged with XXXTentacion's murder days after the killing of the 20-year-old rising rap star (real name Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy), who was fatally shot in his luxury BMW electric vehicle as he left an upscale motorcycle dealership in Florida on Monday.

The 20-year-old hip hop star - real name Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy - was shot dead while sitting in his auto in an ambush on Monday.

Dedrick D. Williams is now being held in custody and the Broward County Sheriff's Department is charging the 22-year-old with first-degree murder, according to TMZ. He is reportedly being held without bond in the Broward County Jail.

Only three days after XXXTentacion's murder in South Florida, an Instagram account that appears to be run by his mother made a big reveal.

In a statement, Onfroy's label Caroline Records said: "Everyone at Caroline is shocked to learn of the tragic death of Jahseh Onfroy, professionally known as XXXTentacion", it read.

Williams has been charged with one count of first-degree murder. Sheriff's deputies said Onfroy was ambushed by at least two people.

"Williams (DOB 3/23/96) was taken into custody shortly before 7 p.m.in Pompano Beach". Then, a few weeks later, they sent him to jail on charges of brutally abusing his pregnant girlfriend. Reports have said there are arrest warrants for two others in the case. His mother rarely visited Onfroy, causing him to use violence to engage with her. It's official! XXXTentacion's girlfriend is pregnant with his child. The sheriff's Office said the incident appeared to be a robbery. "Just please stop tagging me in disrespectful threads and arguments", Ayala tweeted on Tuesday.

Meanwhile an elderly couple faced death threats following social media rumours falsely linking them to the rapper's death.
