Now, the company is getting to ready to launch its successor hinting that Xiaomi may soon launch the rebranded version of Xiaomi Mi 6X in India. The phone is an Amazon exclusive product and will be available on Amazon India,, Mi Home, starting 12 June.

Coming to the display, the Redmi Y2 features a 5.99-inch HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels. The device is likely to feature an overall metallic body.

The Redmi Y2 features a 5.99-inch IPS screen with an 18:9 aspect ratio display. The company will launch the upcoming device in a launch event in Delhi along with the expected launch of the next version of its Android-based OS, MIUI 10. It has a battery backup of 3080mAh and runs MIUI 9.

Via the multiple rollouts, MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM will come to Redmi Y2, Y1 Lite, and Y1.

Note:- The Redmi Y2 appears very similar to Redmi note 5 pro, but with an engine of Redmi note 5.

Xiaomi is one of the few Android OEM's that rolls out latest updates to devices with are out of their update cycle. This will ensure support for Bokeh/Portrait photos even on single sensor cameras, and it will be powered by Artificial Intelligence.

The Moto Z3 Play also gets support for things like Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS USB Type-C port, and 4G VoLTE support and with a battery capacity of 3000mAh, plus 15W TurboPower fast charging, you will be able to experience plenty of talk time and charge your device faster. Borrowing specifications and design elements from China's Redmi S2, the Redmi Y2 will be available in India in Dark Grey, Rose Gold, and Gold colour variants. The phone is backed by a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, while there is another variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

With this, Xiaomi is strengthening its position as a brand that delivers some good selfie smartphones.

Flipkart is also offering 5 percent discount if you pay using Visa Cards for first three payments and via Axis Bank Buzz Credit Card.

The 16-megapixel camera at the front comes with a range of AI features which include, Portrait Mode, AI Smart Beauty, and Front HDR.

The Xiaomi Redmi Y2 uses pixel binning technique (merging pixelsto reduce image noise) for taking brighter low selfies. The battery is unchanged from the last year's model but the inclusion of a more efficient SoC and MIUI system optimizations means the device should provide longer battery life compared to its predecessor.
