The Snapdragon 710 is aimed to provide flagship features to devices but with a smaller price tag so the Mi 8 SE is considerably cheaper as opposed to the Mi 8 and Mi 8 Explorer Edition, as you'll soon find out if you read the pricing differences below. In addition to this Xiaomi has launched three models including Mi 8, Mi 8 SE and Mi 8 Explorer edition on the occasion of its eighth anniversary.

The Mi 8's 6.21-inch display has a large notch cut out of the top for its front camera and sensors, and the dual camera system is stacked vertically - just like Apple's flagship from past year. It's an 18.7:9 aspect ratio panel with a great 88.5 percent screen-to-body ratio. The Mi 8 will also include dualfrequency Global Positioning System, which Xiaomi claims delivers more accurate location information.

The dual-SIM 4G VoLTE smartphone supports Bluetooth 5.0, dual band Wi-Fi, 3.5mm headphone jack, Type-C USB connector, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, Face Unlock, gyro, proximity, compass and accelerometer among others. The Mi 8 SE has been launched with the Snapdragon 710 SoC, making it the first device to be powered by the recently announced SoC.

The Xiaomi Redmi S2 was launched in China at a starting price of CNY 999 (roughly Rs. 10,500) for the basic 3GB of RAM with 32GB storage while the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage was launched at CNY 1,299 (roughly Rs. 14,000).

There are some differentiating factors like the chin below the display, but other than this, you can basically say the Mi 8 is the Android version of the iPhone X.

EXPLORER EDITION. The Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition comes with extra bells and whistles for discerning phone lovers.

The Mi 8 Explorer Edition has the same internal specifications as the Mi 8, but features an in-display fingerprint sensor, among other things. The device received a transparent back and the characteristics of Mi 8.
