Rudy Giuliani didn't have the best birthday on Monday.

Rudy Giuliani celebrated his 74th birthday on Monday at Yankee Stadium, only to be met with thunderous boos from the crowd of New Yorkers after the stadium announced his special day.

The amusing moment happened in-between innings when the public address announcer asked fans to wish Giuliani a happy birthday.

"They're giving us the material to do it", Giuliani said. Speaking with anchor Dana Bash, the president's legal adviser admitted much of the president's assertions about "Spygate" were "an intentional strategy to undermine the investigation".

Giuliani went on to say that the president would need the public on his side if he faces impeachment, and the "Spygate" allegations are meant to do just that. The former mayor was booed during a game in 2007, the New York Post reported.

Giuliani, the former mayor of NY, is now leading Donald Trump's legal defense in special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation.

Giuliani wasn't the only one unable to score a home run - the Yankees lost 5-1 on their home turf to the Houston Astros.
