The Celtics played two pretty bad games in Cleveland earlier this series when they were pounded by 30 in Game 3 and didn't recover from a slow first quarter in a 111-102 loss in Game 4.

Even though he is a member of the Celtics, Kobe surely recognizes and appreciates Tatum's outstanding feel for the game and advanced offensive repertoire. "I think the other three were attack turnovers, and I'm okay with that". But, with so much pressure on the Cleveland Cavaliers, the "other Cavs" as they have been dubbed, stepped up in a major way on Friday night. The Celtics scored 11 points on the last five possessions of the period to close it with a 25-20 lead.

"Greatness", Lue, describing James, said. It ranked third for three-point shots made during the regular season (12.0). Nance took flight while guarded by the Celtics' Marcus Morris.

"It's a Game 7", James said. Boston dug themselves a hole they weren't able to climb out of when they were outscored by 16 points in the opening quarter of Game 4. Best player in the game.

He will no doubt put his stamp on the Game 7 proceedings, but, considering how the Celtics play at home, the decision to advance may not be entirely his.

"We were short on timeouts and I was about to take one", Cavs coach Tyronn Lue said of incident. "It's something that you wish you had when you're done playing, but more than that, it's just basketball for me".

With Celtics up, 33-31, in the second quarter, Kyle Korver won a jump ball against Aron Baynes. "It's kind of like that moment where you don't want to go home".

Just for good measure, he added a three-point play and then was taken out of the game to a rousing ovation and chants of "Cavs in 7!"

Tatum has said in the past that Kobe was his favorite player growing up, so it should come as no surprise that he loved the Kobe video. Boston quickly closed the gap in the second half and had an 11-point lead of their own within a minute of the fourth quarter.

James did receive support from point guard George Hill's 20 points and bench players Jeff Green and Nance Jr with 14 and 10 points respectively. Tatum's length and quickness interfered with Cleveland's passing lanes, and he made several defensive plays to deny a pass to James.

Cavaliers: Improved to 6-2 in elimination game since 2015.

Hill, who came over in a deadline trade, has been awed by what James has done in this postseason. There is Michael Jordan, there is LeBron James, and there is no one else.

Brad Stevens surprised reporters by revealing his starting lineup after joking to the media prior to Game 5 that he only did it in the past because he hadn't been told he had an option.
