A release date hasn't been confirmed as of yet for Rage 2, but with such an impressive gameplay trailer, it looks like it's got to be approaching completion.

The Rage 2 gameplay trailer captures numerous traits of Avalanche Studios' previous titles with fast-paced action, a large color pallet, vehicular mayhem, plus insane weapons and settings in an open world.

The Rage 2 gameplay trailer mixes moments of chaotic gunplay and combat-focused driving with smaller, more human moments of existence in the wasteland that Rage 2 takes place in-suffering is on display, but it is all tinged with oddball humor.

Bethesda has not revealed what time the trailer will be released at, however yesterday's teaser was released at 3pm United Kingdom time. "Head to the wasteland for pure pandemonium in 2019 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC". "RAGE 2 brings together a true open world FPS experience where you can go anywhere, shoot anything, and explode everything".

Also set to return are vehicles, which is why Avalanche Studios are probably the ideal developers for Rage 2: they have the ability to turn numerous original's weaknesses into strengths.

Rage 2 has been officially revealed by Bethesda, following a number of leaks in May 2018. Expect to see footage of the game's open-world in addition to its gunplay.

Digging deeper into Bethesda's updated site, its Rage 2 page reveals that the upcoming sequel is "developed in association with Avalanche Studios, trading as Fatalist Entertainment AB", thanks to Resetra user Stygr. It also shed a bit more light on the story behind the game in a blog post this morning and peppered it with a few screenshots. In the game you play as Walker, the last Ranger, on his quest to topple an evil regime.

You play as the last Ranger, Walker, and you're going after many gangs as well as The Authority - an oppressive faction who took everything from Walker and left them for dead.

Bethesda Softworks bills Rage 2 as a marriage of "Avalanche Studios, masters of open world mayhem and id Software, gods of the first-person shooter".
