President Buhari embarks on four-day medical trip to London

Okupe, who has advised President Buhari against seeking a second tenure on account of his health and age, said the CNM would team up with others to search for a credible candidate that can defeat Buhari in 2019.

It will be recalled that President Buhari had a technical stopover in UK after his trip to the United States where he met with President Donald Trump.

This was according to Mallam Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, who made this known in a press statement.

The Doctor requested the President to return for a meeting which he agreed to do, the statement said.

He was speaking at his Bayagida Model Primary School ward in Daura, Katsina State on Saturday, during the launch of the ruling All Progressives Congress's (APC) grassroots elections.

"I look forward to my 2-day state visit to Jigawa State on Monday and Tuesday next week, after my return", Mr Buhari disclosed.

He said the visit would last between May 14 and Tuesday May 15.

The leader of Africa's most populous nation spent over 100 days of 2017 in London where he had gone for medical leave over an undisclosed ailment.

He stressed that, "There is need for Nigerians irrespective of political affiliations and ethnicity to pray fervently for President Muhammadu Buhari-led government for the good work done since its inception especially in the areas of economic stability, corruption eradication among others."Buhari is a good and honest leader who has the interest of the masses at heart".
